This attainable Artcore Series model packs the stability, comfort and character of a traditionally-shaped basswood body glued securely to a 3-piece nyatoh-and-maple neck for a rich foundation sound fleshed out with a satisfyingly round bite.

The classic contours of the AGB200 are balanced out with a modern AGB4 neck profile, which combines with a Gibraltar III bass bridge and a Quik Change III tailpiece for optimum playing comfort and maximum stability. Prepared to serve up full, fiery bass sounds, this Ibanez-made semi-acoustic bass comes topped with a pair of Classic Elite Bass pickups and a 3-way pickup switch, setting you up with everything needed to rock, blues or jazz out!

Je moet hem zelf nog wel goed (laten) afstellen: hoogte van de pickups, brug, kromming van de hals. Als je zelf niet goed weet hoe dat moet laat het dan een vakman/-vrouw doen. De pickups komen overigens niet heel robuust over: in bepaalde standen komen de stelschroefjes naar buiten en lijken de elementen min of meer los te hangen in de behuizing. Ook de schakelaar voor de pickups komt niet erg degelijk over. We zullen ervaren hoe zich dit in de loop van de jaren houdt.
Maar alles doet prima wat het moet doen en het geluid van deze passief versterkte bas is verrassend mooi te kleuren door de twee potmeters. Daarbij is het instrument gemakkelijk te bespelen.
