Following the success of their ID:Series guitar amps, Blackstar figured it was time to serve up a more compact and stripped-down version that can run on batteries as well as a standard power supply. The result is the Blackstar FLY 3: a 3-Watt mini combo equipped with a 3" speaker that's perfect for use at home and on the road. For this Limited Edition, Blackstar traded in the original black jacket of the FLY 3 for a more chic, cream-coloured housing.

The Blackstar FLY 3 Cream: Versatile and Intuitive

Fitted with just five controls, the Blackstar FLY 3 is incredibly easy to use. The Gain knob allows you to adjust the amount of overdrive for both channels (clean and overdrive), offering sounds that range from subtle edginess to full out shredding, while the Tone pot comes with Blackstar's patented ISF (Infinite Shape Feature) so you can change the timbre of your tone from American to British as needed. On top of that, the FLY 3 features a built-in digital delay which can be adjusted in both speed and level, finishing a versatile little combo that's not to be underestimated in terms of potential.

If you want to jam along to your favourite tunes or backing tracks, it's worth knowing that the Blackstar FLY 3 not only has an MP3/line input but a headphone output with speaker emulation that doubles as a line output for recordings. Round the back, you'll find the battery compartment, the input for an optional 6.5V power supply, and an RJ45 port that allows you to create a 6-Watt stereo set-up using Blackstar's FLY 103 Extension Cab (not included).
