Toujours à la recherche de moyens pour faciliter la vie des percussionnistes, Meinl présente un support universel pour guiro compatible avec tous les bras de support de 3/8 de pouce, qui vous permet de jouer de votre guiro ou de votre guira d'une seule main. Le MC-GU est fabriqué en acier chromé durable et est équipé de contacts en caoutchouc pour éviter les rayures et maintenir votre instrument fermement en place.

The mount itself is good quality, well-made and machined, and sturdy. I mount mine on a LP Claw which is itself clamped to the rim of a bongo.
The only thing is that the product specs do not specify that this will clamp only work on a small diameter guira or guiro. My standard size guira/guiros would not fit into this. In this case, however, rather than send it back I decided to invest in a ‘small’ meinl guira, as I reasoned that the smaller size would be suitable for the trio context I wanted it for.
Even then, the clasps that grip the guira are too small to grip the instrument along the full length of the clasp. Despite this flaw the clamp does work well enough and I have already used it on a gig. But I was surprised that Meinl had made this oversight - quite a glaring oversight - such that they made a guiro holder that seems to have been intended for tiny, toy-sized guiros and guiras and would not work with any standard sized instrument. Maybe they have realised it and this explains the price reduction..
