Innox INA SR2 rack studio 2U

Dit rackje aangeschaft om een 19 inch stroomverdeler in onder te brengen. Een compacte en stabiele behuizing was gewenst, en de Innox INA SR2 (2U) voldoet prima aan de verwachtingen.
Het materiaal is stevig genoeg voor stationair gebruik en de constructie is stabiel. De montagegaten lijnen goed uit, waardoor de apparatuur er probleemloos en strak in gemonteerd kan worden. Het rack is stevig en neemt weinig ruimte in beslag. Dit is een simpele, doeltreffende en betaalbare oplossing om 19 inch apparatuur netjes en overzichtelijk te behuizen. Gewoon een goed product voor de prijs.

Does the job, would've liked it to be a little more sturdy and robust/ support more weight on top as my monitor is standing on it but for £20 it's reasonable value.

Correct rack'je voor de prijs waarvoor het wordt verkocht. Ik begrijp dus de commentaren niet van sommige reviewers. Je kunt van een rack dat aan die prijs wordt verkocht toch niet verwachten dat het even stevig is als eentje van de topmerken ? Goed voor een homestudio als je nog wat 19" materiaal deftig wil ordenen. Wil je er eentje om mee te touren, koop dan liever iets steviger, maar ga niet zeuren over metalen rack, mooi verpakt en met alle toebehoren voor de prijs van een deftige pizza. Conclusie : gemakkelijk te monteren, degelijk verpakt en zoals steeds snel geleverd door Bax.

Lastig te monteren en eenmaal gemonteerd wiebelig en scheef. Als de apparaten erin zitten trekt dit wel recht. Het monteren met moertjes en bouten is lastig. Liever een systeem met alleen bouten. Maar het staat nu (niet meer aankomen). Het is goedkoop en dat merk je bij monteren. Waardeloze handleiding bij geleverd (voor een houten product?)

In principe een prima rack als je er nog wat gaten inboort en hem vastzet op een tafelblad. Dat heb ik gedaan met 1 model, want het is te scheef om netjes neer te zetten. Ik heb er nu in totaal 3 besteld en ze zijn allemaal getordeerd over de lengte-as. Je merkt al tijdens de montage dat je de gaten op moeten zoeken ipv dat ze prima uitgelijnd zijn. Hij wankelt dus als je hem neerzet. Ik heb er eentje teruggestuurd en de andere 2 zal ik helaas wel moeten gaan gebruiken, want we moeten door. Maar als ik de tijd had, zou ik verder zoeken naar iets beters, mijn vertrouwen in dit product is flink gedaald.

Assembly was straight forward and everything lined up excellently with the two I got so far.

Solid.
Even without anything mounted, the assembled racks were structurally sound, no wobble, no warp, no bending to reasonable force.
The individual parts are finished, at times perhaps somewhat crudely around some of the edges, well enough to be fit for purpose.

Utilitarian.
At under 25 bucks, I can say I have spent far more on regular furniture of vastly inferior design or construction.
At under 25 bucks you get some bits and sheets of metal, a few fistfuls of screws and a single sheet of paper illustrating adequate assembly, which was a breeze and only required a screwdriver.
At under 25 bucks you get a stackable metal box. Says so on the tin, too. What's not to like?

I do kinda wish there were a product variant with these exact dimensions but with additional rails mounted in the back.
I couldn't find this in that exact depth (and price point, rly), so I added some to the INA SR2 myself, which went well enough, but that does require some more tools than only a screwdriver.

They do what I need them to. They will last a while.
They cost less than some of your uber eats habits.

These are pretty well made, easy to assemble and feel fairly robust when assembled. Those reviews stating holes not lining up, or misaligned will almost certainly be due to user error during assembly. The instruction sheet clearly shows the side panels on the OUTSIDE. But we are creatures of habit and like to put lids on things. So if the top or bottom panel flanged edges are on the outside of side panels (which unfortunately is the instinctive way to put them together), then the holes will not quite line up no matter what you do. So follow the instruction sheet, simples!

Some reviewers claim they are not sturdy enough, well I suspect that's just lack of experience with 19" racks. Once you install your equipment and nip up the cage bolts, they becomes as solid as a rock.

Don't forget some racks are designed WITHOUT top or bottom framing or panels, just side pieces which the equipment itself once installed provides the rigid frame. It's a natural feature of rack mounted equipment.

All in all can summed up with the following three points.
1. Reasonably well made (clearly machine formed so hole accuracy should be spot on every time).
2. Very easy and quick to assemble if you follow the assembly sheet properly.
3. Excellent value for money, can't argue with the price point.

What's not to like? I'll be buying some more.
