Issu de la série à succès Thomastik Plectrum, le AC111 Light est un jeu de cordes en acier pour guitare acoustique. Fabriqué à la main, ce jeu se distingue par des cordes dotées d'un filage offrant une tension plus basse et un son doux similaire à celui d'une guitare équipée de cordes en nylon. Pour cela, les Thomastik AC111 sont équipées d'une âme ronde très flexible possédant de la vraie soie entre l'âme et le filage. Grâce au filage plat en bronze sur les cordes de La, de Ré et de Sol, ce jeu permet d'avoir la souplesse des cordes destinées au jazz.
Thomastik AC111 : Hybrid Wound
Ce jeu contient aussi bien des cordes à filet plat que des cordes à filet rond. Ainsi, la corde de Mi grave dispose d'un filage rond en bronze, ce qui lui permet de produire un son profond. L'âme ronde recouverte de soie assure une tension basse. Par conséquent, les Thomastik Plectrum sont parfaites pour être utilisées avec une veille guitare possédant un barrage fragile. De type Light, les cordes du jeu Thomastik AC111 présentent des tirants de .011 à .050 pouce.

Comme pour tous les jeux de cordes, le but est de trouver le jeu le plus adapté à telle ou telle guitare. Je trouve les Thomastik Plectrum claires dans les aigües,sans que les médiums et les graves soient en retrait. L'ensemble est très lisible et équilibré. Ca sonne, pour ce qui me concerne.

Al tientallen jaren mijn favoriete snaren op mijn Eastman AC320C. Vooral vanwege de soepelheid bij het spelen van een akoestische solo. Ze piepen ook veel minder omdat ze flat wound zijn. Natuurlijk is het geluid wat zachter in volume en misschien wat minder uitgesproken maar ik hou ervan. Het hoort gewoon bij mijn sound.

Fijne set snaren. Heb ze nu een paar weken - ze lijken wat beter gebalanceerd te klinken dan een 'normale' set van 0.11. Ze klinken wat zachter en warmer. Ben tevreden

Heel fijn licht spelende set snaren.
Niet persé de beste set voor iedere gitaar, maar als het een goede fit is klinken ze fantastisch.
Heb ze op een OO-model zitten en ze zorgen er voor dat de gitaar meer definitie, sustain en resonantie heeft dan hij ooit heeft gehad.
Ik speel veel in alternative tunings, maar ook dat overleven ze prima.
Wel niet iets minder volume.

Great sounding strings but questionable quality as this price.
The D string broke while stringing the guitar, so I never got to hear how that sounded. The G broke som days later.
This has never happened to me before, except on my jazzmaster, when using Thomasik strings, so they are known to be very fragile.
Contacted Thomasik regarding this, they have not replied.
The remaining strings sound great!

mijn eerste indruk was zeer goed , de snaren spelen lekker en voelen zacht aan , de klank is OK . Maar reeds na een paar keer bespelen zijn ze stuk , ze rekken gewoon uit en springen aan het rode gedeelte .Hopelijk zijn ze niet allemaal zo en heb ik een slecht setje gekregen ( verstorven ? ) Jammer
