A complete and comprehensive stage and studio tool box, the Radial Reamp Kit neatly packs up everything needed to ensure a clean reamped track inside a durable case. For starters, you get a Radial J48 active DI box that guarantees a noise and distortion free signal - essential for producing consistently good recordings. Next to that, you get a Radial X-Amp active reamp that's set up to reroute dry recorded tracks back through an amplifier, or two amplifiers, opening up the room to experiment with different settings and effects after the perfect take has already been captured. To finish, this kit includes an X-Amp power supply.

The Radial X-Amp

While the concept of the X-Amp is fairly straightforward, what it's actually able to do is far more complex. This little box is able to take the signals of different amplifiers and recording equipment that might operate at incompatible levels and make them work together without any issues. The recorded track is fed through the X-Amp which then passes it onto one or two connected amplifiers, the result of which is then 'reamped' - in other words recorded again, meaning that production and mixing decisions about the sound and external effects can be made later and without asking the musician to repeat the take. The X-Amp has not been built exclusively for guitar and bass tracks either, but can be used to play around with vocal tracks, synth or keyboard tracks, and even drums.
