Informations
The Catalinbread Callisto Chorus / Vibrato pedal has an old school MN3007 Bucket Brigade chip under the bonnet for that authentic chorus sound. Its intuitive interface makes operating this modulation effects pedal extremely simple. There are a wide range of sounds possible, varying from subtle to rotary speaker-type sounds to extreme soundwaves. Its compact size and versatility make the Callisto a valuable addition to any pedal board. Of course, the pedal is true bypass, meaning that it won't compromise any sound quality when the effects are off.
Callisto: easy of use
Apart from the Bucket Brigade chip, the Callisto also features a Burr Brown OPA2134. This chip ensures that the effect responds accurately to the dynamics in your playing. Setting up the pedal is very simple. Delay times can be adjusted using the Density control which alters the chorus effect from light and subtle to rich and warm. The depth of the sweeps can be adjusted using the Width control. The real magic happens with the Mix control, however, which changes things from a juicy chorus to a rocking vibrato. Finally, with the Rate control at maximum you almost get the intensity of a ring-modulator.
