Pack as many functions as physically possible into one tight little jacket: this seems to have been the aim when Denon DJ were developing the PRIME GO. This is a two-deck rechargeable 'smart' console with touchscreen! Small enough to slot neatly in a backpack, the PRIME GO is an entirely stand-alone console with no need for erroneous laptops and, since not one compromise has been made, you could even curate your set on the way to the venue.

The PRIME GO: Non-Stop Music

Just as with the PRIME 4, the PRIME GO takes both USB and SD cards. An SD card can even be left permanently in the slot of the GO and used as a kind of mini-hard drive. What's also pretty special is the option to record mix-tapes directly to a USB stick or SD card, completely removing the need for any external recorders. What's incredibly special however, is the Wi-Fi functionality. This makes this console able to playback from streaming services like TIDAL, giving you literally immediate access to tracks released just minutes before your set even starts.

Made for Every DJ

The PRIME GO really has been made with every flavour of DJ in mind. The evidence for this lies in the 7-inch colour touchscreen interface through which everything can be arranged. Navigate your tracks and larger music libraries and, just like with its larger sibling, it's possible to vertically or horizontally position the waveforms. Further, you're getting a two-channel mixer with 3-band EQ and a pressure-sensitive jogwheel, a fully grown-up, if not wiser-than-its-years, FX engine including a number of beat-FX, in-line sweep FX and outstanding filters.

Other Characteristics

The Denon DJ PRIME GO also gives you access to a set of dual-bank trigger pads. A set of four pads is fitted per side and can be set up to control juggling, looping and beat rolls as well as time-stretch and key-shift. For DJ-come-MCs or duos, two XLR-jack combi inputs are included around the back and come with dedicated volume controls and a talk-over function. Really, everything that could possibly fit into this tight-jacketed console has been included.
