The Byzance series by German cymbal manufacturer Meinl consists of a wide variety of professional-quality cymbals. Every individual cymbal is hammered and finished by hand, which guarantees a great sound! There are many different sizes and shapes of cymbals, this B19MTC being a 19-inch Medium Thin Crash with a traditional finish, and it is the largest of the Medium Thin crashes.
Meinl Byzance B19MTC
The sizeable diameter brings with it some seriously low undertones while also providing a strong, loud attack. After the initial attack it opens up into a dark-sounding wash with a wide frequency range and medium sustain. Finally, it has a nicely balanced volume which will serve you very nicely in the rehearsal space or on virtually any stage. It's not too soft, but it's not as the cymbals of your average metal drummer. This crash is best suited for use in jazz, fusion or pop music and is a professional addition to any drum kit.
